MANUFACTURING COMPOUNDERS
(12-hour, Permanent/Contract, Day/Night Shift)

Exciting opportunities exists to support the Manufacturing department in a dynamic and expanding contract pharmaceutical manufacturer of liquids, creams and ointments. In this role, you will be instrumental in manufacturing quality products which meet customer requirements and are in accordance to SOPs and GMPs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that materials in the Manufacturing area are maintained in accordance with GMPs and SOPs.
- Weigh, verify, and compound raw materials according to the Manufacturing Work Order instructions.
- Maintain/clean all equipment in the manufacturing department.
- Clean and sanitize manufacturing equipment according to the relevant SOPs.
- Reconcile batch records to ensure bulk product weights meet customer specifications.
- Maintain the manufacturing rooms to ensure GMP and SOP compliance.
- Manufacture bulk product under stringent GMP and SOP conditions.
- Initiate ideas for departmental improvements.
- Responsible for working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures; properly uses personal protection and safety equipment as required by CPL; reports any injury or illness immediately and notifies CPL of any hazards, unsafe acts or conditions in the workplace.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A Canadian (or assessed to be equivalent) B.Sc in a related field or college diploma of Pharmaceuticals preferred.
- 2-5 years pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferably in a compounding role.
- Good verbal and written communication and comprehension of the English language.
- Excellent problem solving, attention to detail and math skills.
- Good understanding of and strict adherence to GMPs and SOPs.
- Individual must be flexible and self motivated, able to work without direct supervision and work effectively in a team environment.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Physical requirements include:
- Push and pull automatic hand truck.
- May be required to manually handle heavy cases and drums of materials on and off skids without mechanical assistance.
- Pulling, pushing, and pumping with manual pump truck, heavy skids.
- Confined space entry may be required.
- Overtime and shift changes may be required.
